O ADIAMENTO INCOERENTE

20, terceira coluna):
“A nova data contempla vários interesses: o financeiro no nosso caso, o desportivo por parte do Benfica (…)”

Just seen the Bolton game - what can I say? Brilliant all-round performance. Ronaldo's introduction added that bit of magic we needed. The lad's got great confidence and the future looks very, very bright for him. As for Giggsy's free-kick...simply magic. Ruud may have missed a penalty but opened his account, and I'm sure that's not the last one we'll see from him. Also, it seems as though Tim Howard has been with us for years instead of weeks. Well done boys, keep it up!

The last time I felt this good was when Ince, Kanchelskis and Hughes were sold and a group of brilliant young players came on and won us another double. We just sold Beckham and Veron, and what great young players we've got now, especially Ronaldo. If there's a trophy for debut of the season he would have won it already!! He's so quick, illusive, and probably will beat Thierry Henry in a 100 yard dash!! And when is the last time Giggs scored so convincingly? Superb performace overall in the second half!! Let's hope another double is on the way!!

Brilliant drubbing of Bolton, and we're right where we left off last season. Winning! Big up to Ronaldo, he looked amazing both sides of the flank. The side fielded in the Community Shield match was missing something, and Ronaldo was it. We're gonna win the lot!

What a great start! Bolton gave us a real game, but the firepower we have came through. Djemba-Djemba really made a difference to the team when he came on. And as for Ronaldo! I worried that there was too much expectancy when he came on, the roar that went up round Old Trafford was huge, but he blew everyone away and left all of is begging for more. Maybe we have a player that can do it for us in Europe? I dont want to jinx a good start, but this has left me really postive. Roll on next match!!

What a great game! Such a wonderful performance by young Ronaldo, he drove the Wanderers defenders mad with his extraordinary dribbling! I had come doubt in the beginning when the players passed the ball very slowly. But after the substitutions the game totally changed! This just shows how Fergies master-brain works. Beckham-who?

What a good start! The team came alive in the second half and I have to say that Ronaldo was a real sensation- quick, skilful, he should have started the match instead of Butt who was horrendous. Djemba-Djemba was good too. I think the Man of the Match should go to Scholes for relentless trying.

There are no words to describe the great game played at Old Trafford today. The new signings proved how great they can be. Howard with a clean sheet, Djemba with great passes and assistance to Scholes' goal and Ronaldo going past defenders easily. The only hard part to watch was the penalty from Ruud, I could not believe what I saw. At least the goal in the last few minutes showed he was back. If the Reds keep performing like this we will not only hold the Premiership Trophy but will bring the European Cup to OT.

An excellent win by the team today, great to see Giggs back in form and an excellent glimpse of things to come with our own Ronaldo. I guess Ruud's miss shows he's only human as well. All in all, a definitive statement of intent for the new season.
